Recorded in 1961-62 these LPs consist of Doin’ Allright (Blue Note BST84077) Dexter Calling (Blue Note BST84083) and Landslide (Blue Note LT-1051). Among the featured sidemen are such stars as Freddie Hubbard Horace Parlan Kenny Drew Sonny Clark Paul Chambers Ron Carter and Philly Joe Jones among others. A single track from the same period showcasing Gordon in the company of fellow saxophonist Sonny Stitt has been added here as a bonus.
